Based in Leeds and travelling throughout the UK and beyond for a broad mix of entertainment and training bookings. Now embracing online video hosting and recording opportunities from home too. Working in business and other learning settings, private and public events and shows, plus television and film acting roles. A varied mix of projects!
A versatile performer with broad experience acting in theatre and other work on various stages including comedy, dinner shows and pantomime. Have written and devised own work too. Lived in Manchester whilst at university and spent several years in London and the south of England, later moving back to Yorkshire roots. Light northern English native accent to R.P. and comfortable with a range of voices and accents.
Profile acting projects range from local West Yorkshire based docu-drama mini series, 'THE CONFESSION' to blockbuster Bollywood movie, '1921', filmed partly in the U.K. and also in India. Television work includes Bafta award winning itv drama, 'CILLA' and Leeds based 'DCI BANKS'. In the corporate world, roleplay work and forum theatre as well as corporate entertainment shows throughout the UK and Europe . Also corporate training and promotional films and commercials.
Acting and improvisation skills have also been played out in the role of a business and educational presenter and facilitator for many years. A balance of fun and seriousness pitching to the level of challenge required. Acting skills honed for a training, portraying contrasting characters for roleplay and forum theatre, providing quality feedback as required. Also trained and experienced in communication skills coaching using roleplay. Other topics include: performance, presentation skills, general learning and life skills. Audiences span many business and medical settings to children, young people and staff in schools and colleges. Working freelance for various organisations, also having designed some training programmes.
